Colleen Wing is a bushido master and the sensei of the Chikara Dojo in New York City. She is integral to Danny Rand’s reintegration into society, which is a polite way of saying she is the only person who believes him, and she is the one who foils Ward Meachum’s attempt to have him committed indefinitely to Birch Psychiatric Hospital.
She is also the answer to the most common complaint about her own series. Iron Fist is a story about a man who was given a mystical power, standing next to a woman who earned everything she can do in a room with a wooden floor. Jessica Henwick’s fight scenes are the ones people rewatch, and by the second season the show knows it.

In the comics, Misty Knight and Colleen Wing are a detective agency called Nightwing Restorations and are known together as the Daughters of the Dragon. The series get them into the same frame twice, in Luke Cage and then properly in the second season of Iron Fist, and stop there. Nothing that followed on Disney+ has picked the pairing back up.
