The one who can make anybody do anything, forbidden to use it, and watching seven thousand years of avoidable slaughter.
Druig is an aloof Eternal who can use cosmic energy to control minds. He withdrew from the others because he disagreed with how little they were allowed to do about humankind, with the exception of Makkari, and he retreated into the Amazon rainforest, where he leads a community by taking the burden of choice away from them.
He is the film’s hardest character to argue with and its hardest to defend, in the same sentence. He is right that the non-interference rule made them complicit, and his answer to it is to remove other people’s will entirely.
