A motorcyclist carrying a spirit of vengeance, who turns up in a television series for one scene and is then handed a film franchise.
Johnathon Blaze is a supernatural motorcycle riding hero. In this continuity he appears only in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., where the Ghost Rider of the series is Robbie Reyes and Blaze is the one who came before, played briefly by the stuntman Tom McComas.
He is the clearest illustration of how the Marvel Television era worked. A character with three feature films behind him at another studio arrives in a network series, does one scene that lands, and is not mentioned again for nearly a decade.

Wikipedia records that Ryan Gosling has taken over the role and that Blaze will appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, currently dated 2027, and in a Ghost Rider film dated 2028. Neither has been released, so neither is listed among his appearances here.
