A mutant who can climb walls, spit slime and jump a very long way, remembered mostly for what a thunderstorm did to him.
Mortimer Toynbee is Toad, a mutant with toad-like qualities: a prehensile tongue, the ability to crawl up walls, slime he can spit, and a jump that covers a startling distance. Ray Park plays him in X-Men, where he is a British member of Magneto’s Brotherhood, and the film’s most quoted line belongs to the moment Storm ends him. She asks him what happens to a toad when it is struck by lightning, answers her own question, “the same thing that happens to everything else”, strikes him, and flings him into the Hudson. Wikipedia records the line as one of the series’s most infamous.
Days of Future Past goes back to before all that. Evan Jonigkeit plays a younger Toad, a prisoner of Stryker’s in Vietnam, freed by Mystique along with the other captive mutants, and later seen working at a restaurant. In Deadpool & Wolverine a variant of him, played by Daniel Medina Ramos, stands with Cassandra Nova’s gang in the Void.

The cast table on Wikipedia’s list of X-Men film characters marks an uncredited young Toad cameo in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The prose entry on the same page, which is what this catalogue cites, lists only the three films above and says nothing about Origins. So Origins is not in his list, and the table’s claim is recorded here rather than silently dropped. The same table has him mentioned by name in X2, without appearing.
