Six months on, two mutant organisations want the same thing by methods that cannot both be right, and the family is split between them.

The Mutant Underground is still running a refugee operation. The Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club has concluded that hiding is a strategy for losing. Sixteen episodes in which the argument between them is the plot, with the Morlocks and the Purifiers pulled in on either side.

It is the last season of the series and the last live-action X-Men television made under that licence.
