Frank Castle gets fifty-one minutes to himself, in a special written by the actor who plays him.

It is the third Marvel Special Presentation, a format the studio uses for single, short pieces that stand outside the film and series schedule. Jon Bernthal wrote it with Reinaldo Marcus Green, who directed, and it is the second production centred on the character after the Netflix series.

That is a notable line to be able to draw. The same actor now anchors an entry made by the previous television company and one made by Marvel Studios, which is the clearest single piece of evidence that the two eras were joined.
