A New York paramedic who starts seeing a few seconds into the future and has to work out what to do with three teenagers she has just watched die.
Madame Web is the least liked entry on this shelf, and the premise is not the reason. A paramedic with no interest in any of this begins seeing the immediate future, which is a small and specific power, and the film is about her trying to use something that unreliable to keep three strangers alive.
Dakota Johnson plays it with a flatness that has been read as both the film’s worst problem and its only defence. It is listed here because it is part of the record.
