The first vampire, dug out of a tomb by people who wanted what he could do in daylight, and who turns out to have opinions about all of them.
Drake is the name the film uses; the vampires who dig him up in the Syrian Desert at the start of Blade: Trinity believe the tomb is Dracula’s, and the Marvel Database files him under that name for this universe. Dominic Purcell plays him. He is the first of the vampires, and the point of reviving him is that he can survive in sunlight, which the Talos siblings hope to use to cure the rest of their kind.
He does not think much of them. He tells Blade that humans and vampires alike are inferior in his eyes and that he intends to wipe both out, and he goes out of his way to isolate Blade from the Nightstalkers because he wants to test him. A pure blood source is also exactly what the Nightstalkers need to make their virus, Daystar, work against the whole species.
Minor spoiler
Blade and Drake fight and Drake wins, until Abigail Whistler fires the Daystar arrow. Drake catches it, and the distraction is enough for Blade to stab him with it, which completes the virus and releases it, killing the vampires around them. Dying, Drake praises Blade for fighting honourably, warns him that his need for blood will get him in the end, and calls him the future of the vampire race. With the last of his power he shape-shifts into Blade so that Blade can walk out. The FBI recovers the body; on the autopsy table it turns back into Drake.
