He was a mortal man before he became this. He targets that Earth and sends his herald, the Silver Surfer, ahead to announce its last days. The Fantastic Four try to negotiate.
Ralph Ineson plays him as something closer to weather than to a villain. There is no bargaining position and no grudge, which is the correct reading of the character and the one the earlier film adaptations avoided.
