A vampire hunter who used to be a vampire, and who talks through every situation he cannot shoot his way out of.
Hannibal King is one of the two people who rescue Blade after the FBI takes him in Blade: Trinity. With Abigail Whistler he invites Blade into their band of vampire hunters, the Nightstalkers, and the film gives him most of its jokes. Ryan Reynolds plays him, twelve years before he put on the red suit in Deadpool.
The Marvel Database lists him as human and a former vampire, which is where the grudge comes from.
Minor spoiler
When Abigail and Blade return to the Nightstalkers’ hideout they find everybody dead except King and Zoe, Sommerfield’s daughter, who have been taken. The vampires torture King for information and he refuses to talk, even when they threaten to turn him, starve him, and then give him Zoe to feed on. Blade and Abigail free them, and King kills Jarko Grimwood, the vampires’ bodyguard, in the fight that follows.
