The first man to call himself the Shocker, in a job where the title turned out to be transferable.
Jackson Brice is part of Adrian Toomes’s criminal enterprise, using a modified version of Brock Rumlow’s vibro-blast gauntlet and calling himself the Shocker. After a weapons deal with Aaron Davis draws Spider-Man’s attention, Toomes sacks him for recklessness. Brice threatens to expose the operation, and Toomes fires one of Phineas Mason’s weapons at him.
He exists to establish, in about ninety seconds, that Toomes is not a supervillain with a plan but a man running a business with an employee problem. It is the most efficient character introduction in the film and it is somebody else’s introduction.
