Spider-Man: Homecoming

A fifteen-year-old with powers wants to be an Avenger, and is repeatedly told to stay in his own neighbourhood.

No city is destroyed. The threat is a man who lost his contract and started selling salvaged weapons, and he is one of the few antagonists in this run whose grievance is entirely legible.

The film is about being fifteen, which it takes seriously. Its best sequence is a long conversation in a car, and its central lesson is delivered by being told no.
