Johnny is the team’s youngest and its performer, and the film gives him the one job nobody else wants: paying attention to the herald who arrives before Galactus. He is written as smarter than his reputation, which is a small correction to a character who is usually only the joke.
Joseph Quinn plays him as a person who has learned that being the loud one gets him left alone, and who quietly stops doing it when it matters.
