A child grown from Wolverine's genetic material in a laboratory, sent out into the world with claws and almost no words.
Laura is Wolverine’s daughter, created by Zander Rice at Alkali-Transigen from his DNA implanted into a woman. She has two claws in each hand and one in each foot, an advanced healing factor, and, for the first half of Logan, almost no English at all: she is fluent in Spanish and simply does not speak to people who have not earned it.
Dafne Keen’s performance is the reason Logan works. The film hands its emotional weight to a child who is mostly silent, and it holds.
Minor spoiler
Transigen schedules the children for termination and the nurses help them escape towards Eden. Gabriela puts Laura in Logan’s care, and Xavier is killed by X-24 on the road. When X-24 fatally wounds Logan, Laura shoots him with an adamantium bullet, buries Logan, and crosses into Canada with the others.
In Deadpool & Wolverine she has been pruned into the Void, where she fights alongside Elektra, Blade and Gambit against Cassandra Nova. She kills Juggernaut and Psylocke, and is freed when Nova falls.
