Morbius is a straightforward tragedy played straight, and it did not land. Michael Morbius is a Nobel-winning biochemist with the same rare blood disorder as his closest friend, and the treatment he develops works exactly as intended and turns him into something that needs blood.
The film is included here because it is part of the same shelf as Venom and because its credits scene reaches across to another studio’s universe, which is the more interesting fact about it.
