The series that made its name on modest stakes spends this one entirely in another dimension, fighting an exile who was meant to define the next decade of the story.

The plans it was setting up changed after it came out, which leaves it in an odd position: a film that introduces a threat the rest of the run then went around. That is worth knowing rather than discovering.
