A boy is mauled on a hunting trip with his father, survives it changed, and grows into the most effective predator on the planet.
Sergei Kravinoff’s story is about inheritance. His father takes him hunting, the trip goes wrong, and what he becomes afterwards is a rejection of that man carried out with exactly the skills that man taught him. The film is more interested in that relationship than in anything costumed.
It is the sixth film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, and one of two released in 2024, which is a good indication of how quickly that project was being assembled by the end.
