Runaways

Six teenagers who have drifted apart discover that their parents meet once a year to do something unforgivable, and that they are all in it together.

The premise is the best in this part of the catalogue and it is very simple: the children find out, and now they have to decide what to do about people who love them and who they cannot go home to. Three seasons and thirty-three episodes, moving from suburban Los Angeles to a run that gets progressively stranger.

The show is deliberately kept away from the rest. Its executive producer put the reasoning plainly: would you follow Iron Man, or would you follow somebody your own age.
