A police officer who thinks Spider-Man is a menace, saying so at dinner, to his son.
Jefferson Davis is Miles’s father, a police officer who disapproves of Spider-Man’s vigilante actions. Brian Tyree Henry voices him. In the second film he has taken the Morales name and been promoted to captain.
The scene the first film is remembered for is his: he stands outside his son’s door, not knowing who is on the other side, and says the things he cannot say to his face. Nothing in the superhero part of the film is doing as much work.
