Miles Morales is an intelligent and rebellious teenager of African-American and Puerto Rican descent who gets spider-like abilities and becomes the Spider-Man of Earth-1610 after his reality’s Peter Parker dies.
What separates him from every other Spider-Man in this catalogue is the order of events. The others become Spider-Man and then find out what it costs. Miles sees the cost first, in the street, and takes the job anyway.
