A detective who shot a girl in the eye as a rookie, spends a career chasing the killer she loved, and ends up with a symbiote of his own.
Patrick Mulligan is a detective hoping to use Eddie Brock to find the remains of Cletus Kasady’s victims, and Stephen Graham plays him in Venom: Let There Be Carnage, with Sean Delaney as the young officer he once was. That young officer, in the opening, is the one Frances Barrison attacks with her scream on the way to Ravencroft; he shoots her in the eye, comes away with an injured ear, and believes for years that he killed her.
In the present he asks Eddie to speak to Cletus in San Quentin, grows suspicious of Eddie as the bodies pile up, and arrests him. Cletus and Frances take him and Anne Weying hostage at their wedding.
