A brilliant surgeon loses the use of his hands and, looking for a cure, finds people who bend space instead.
The arrogance is the point again, as it was with Stark, but the arc is different: Strange does not learn humility so much as learn that being the best in the room is worthless when the room is infinite.
The film’s real argument is in its ending, which refuses to be a fight. The solution is patience applied as a weapon, and it is the most interesting thing this run has done with a climax.
