The Punisher

The man who killed everyone responsible for his family's death finds out he was told the wrong story about why they died.

Frank Castle has finished and has nothing left to do, and then a hacker drags him into what actually happened. The season is a conspiracy thriller about the war he fought rather than the vengeance he took, and it spends far more time on veterans than on criminals.

It is also, unusually for this material, a show that keeps asking its lead whether the violence is helping, and does not let him answer easily.
