Broken, hidden and presumed dead, Matt Murdock has to decide whether to be a lawyer again while the man he put in prison walks out of it.

The third season strips the show back. There is barely a costume in it. Murdock is at his weakest and Fisk is at his most patient, working the system from the inside with a legal strategy rather than a gang, and the season is about the slow demolition of a person’s public identity.

It is the last of the Netflix run and the one the revival picks up from, which makes it, as it turned out, a pause rather than an ending.
