Two women who have been each other's only constant end up on opposite sides of the question of who deserves to die.

The final season sets a highly intelligent killer against them and then does something better than resolve it: it lets the two of them disagree about method until the disagreement is the story. One of them will not cross the line. The other has decided the line is the problem.

It is the last of the Netflix series to be released, and it ends the run on an argument rather than a victory.
