The group meets the father one of them spent his life imagining, and finds out what he actually wants.
It is a sequel that refuses to repeat the first film’s shape. The group splits up early, spends most of the runtime in separate arguments, and the plot is almost entirely a family one.
The other father in it is the one who was there, and the film’s real move is to spend two hours making you understand that before it says so out loud.
