Avengers: Endgame

2019Film181 minPhase 3AvengersEarth-616

Five years after losing, the survivors get one attempt to undo it.

The first hour is the unusual part: a film about defeat, grief and the shapes people take when they stop trying. The plan does not begin until the survivors have been shown living with having failed.

It is the end of the run that started in 2008, and it assumes all of it. Watching it without the films before it is technically possible and mostly pointless.

Show detailsIt came back, with four minutes that did not exist

Endgame has been re-released twice, and the second time matters.

In 2019 it returned with seven minutes after the credits: a tribute to Stan Lee, an unfinished deleted scene, and the opening of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Nothing in it changed the film.

On 25 September 2026 it returns as Avengers Endgame: Encore, with a custom introduction, new footage and a new post-credits scene, about four minutes in all. Joe Russo called that re-release “critically important” and said he believed it was “required viewing” to follow the story of Avengers: Doomsday. The new material plays in the IMAX and Infinity Vision screenings, which also carry a further look at Doomsday.

This catalogue keeps one entry per title rather than one per cut, so the runtime above is the film as it was released. The four minutes are not counted in it.
